Kangaroo Island Plantations
The Kangaroo Island Plantations are a Tasmanian blue gum tree project to produce woodchips for export. The project is managed by Viento Forestry Pty Ltd and the Responsible Entity is
Primary Securities Ltd.
The plantations are located in two areas on Kangaroo Island. The Kellendale plantations were established in 2000 and are located in the north west of the island. The Stun'sail Boom plantations were established in 2001 and 2002 in the south west of the island. Both Kellendale and Stun'sail Boom plantations are estimated to begin harvest from 2015.
